Children Obese
According to the essay"why are children Obese", by David Kraft. childhood obesity has become a serious problem in recent years. The author has show us several reasons why more and more children are becoming obese. He mentioned children became obese because their eating habit, that eat a lot of junk food, lack of exercises, and not sleep enough at night. The author points out the shocking reality that moost of these kids develop weight problem due to the poor role modeling that their parents do and children eat what their parents eat. So overweight parents are usually poor role for their children.
I agree with Kraft, i think the poor parents role models is most serious problem for their children in all ares of life. The fact is, children often imitate their parents maybe those are wrong and unhealthy. Just like violence and smoking the reason many children for it is their parents had done it too. So , i was not surprised when i saw that children eat what they see their parents eating, and if the parent eat a high fat , high calorie diet, their children probably will also. Unfortunately, many parents have no time to cook and prepare healthy, nutritious food. In America, fast food is a most quickly way to feed the children, even though it is high calories, easy fat , and unhealthy. Because they don't have time to shop or to cook for their children.

As i know ,1/3 of adult in the US are overweight, eating habits, not exercises and sleep are mainly reasons, kids that eat a lot of junk foods and snacks are more likely to develop weight problem than those that eat well balanced meals every day. the second reason is no exercise every day children must get at least 30 minute to exercise every day(60minutes will be better), but most people do not. Many children live sedentary lifestyle that involve a lot of time watching TV, playing video game, and computer. These activities are often done in conjunction with eating snack which make them doubly unhealthy. Finally , one of the more overlooked contributing factor to childhood obesity is sleep. Children that get enough sleep at night are less likely to develop weigh problem than those that never get an adequate amount of sleep at night.
If you ash me what i want to do something about the problem of childhood obesity? I will teach the parents what is true healthy diet to their children, and the parents need to start cooking vegetables and eating salads, lean meats and whole grain bread(healthy diet), that can let the children decreases the chance of contact with junk food, so eating a healthy diet is very important .
